जब आप किसी टूर पर जाते हैं तो अपने साथ एक सूटकेस ले जाते हैं. लेकिन जब आप जेल जाते हैं तो आपको कोई भी सामान ले जाने की इजाजत नहीं होती. आपको उन्हीं कपड़ों में जाना होता है जो आप पहने हुए होते हैं. यहां तक कि आपके रूमाल को भी डस्टबिन में फेंक दिया जाता है.
कोई पेन, कागज, घड़ी, बेल्ट बिल्कुल नहीं ले जा सकते. जब आप जेल में पहुंचते हैं तो आपको एक तौलिया, कंबल, टूथपेस्ट, टूथब्रश, कंघी, केश तेल, एक प्लास्टिक की प्लेट और चम्मच दी जाती है. जेल में यही आपकी कीमती चीजें होती हैं. हालांकि सच्चाई इससे थोड़ी अलग है. आप चाहें तो वहां बहुत सी चीजें मंगा सकते हैं. इसके लिए कुछ कानूनी और नियामक तरीके हैं.
